Newlands School

At our school, we are committed to delivering a curriculum that not only meets but exceeds the standards set by the National Curriculum for England (NCfE). This framework, which is subject- and stage-based, provides a solid foundation for students up to the end of Key Stage 3 (age 14), ensuring consistency and equality in education.

In addition to the NCfE, our curriculum encompasses Arabic and Islamic Studies, as well as cross-curricular understanding in key areas mandated by KHDA and DSIB. These include personal responsibility, understanding of Islamic values, awareness of Emirati and world cultures, and community and environmental responsibility. We prioritize innovation, stimulating student thinking and encouraging action to achieve innovative outcomes.

Moreover, we provide students with tangible entrepreneurial experiences, connecting them with local and international social enterprises and businesses. Through these experiences, students develop crucial skills such as creativity, problem-solving, and critical thinking, enhancing their prospects for future employment and contributing to Dubai's knowledge-based and innovation-led economic growth.

Our commitment to innovation extends beyond the classroom. We actively participate in international conferences to explore new approaches to learning and teaching, aligning with the concept of the "School of Tomorrow". Innovative ideas are encouraged through initiatives like the "Big Ideas Box" campaign, where students can submit their ideas for consideration. The best ideas are not only recognized with certificates but also supported financially for their success.

Recognizing Dubai's diverse communities, our curriculum celebrates cultural diversity and ensures that all children learn about their own backgrounds and identities while growing up in an international city. We believe in providing a rich, relevant curriculum that meets the needs and expectations of our community, fostering a love for learning and preparing students to thrive in a globalized world
